We want to know what you like and what inspires you because we can use that to inspire us. It’s not rocket science, but it’s a dedicated art that you can’t get just anywhere. Are we a little proud of our skills? Yes. But we should be. You need a team that’s confident about what they can do for you. This is where we start “the creative process”, we jot down ideas and once we land on a winning one it’s time to talk terms and budget.
That’s a scary word right? Budget.
We realize you need to know how much this will cost. We could pick a number? But until we know a lot more about your story, it’s just guessing. So, let’s simplify things. We have varying levels of clients that we work with. Some are just starting and some are very established. We know it’s every ones goal to spend as little as they have to and get as much as they can. We know, we bargin shop too. Ebay is a godsend.
But at the same time you have to make sure you reasonably understand how this works.
A quality commercial, let’s say for Nissan, respectively costs over $100,000. It employ’s 20-30 crew members and requires all kinds of permits, insurances, product costs, equipment… well you get the idea.
Chances are you don’t have $100,000 to spend, and we don’t expect you to.
You get out what you put in, there is no arguing that truth. But unlike most teams we are open to providing you options that might just work on your budget.
1. Start Up and Kickstarter – If you are open to talking about deferred options that has a payment timeline. We can talk about how a little co-investment upfront could result in a win/win situation for both of us. This option is subject to us believing in each other and the product in question. We want you to be successful, and you deserve our excitement about what you’ve created.
This is like a Kia Rio minus the upgrades.
2. Small Business – You have enough to get this started and you know that marketing is just as if not more important then the product itself. You aren’t Mircosoft, but you know witht he right team you could be.
This is like a Nissan Altima. A new one. With all the stuff.
3. Corporation – You didn’t actually read this far because we’re already e-mailing you back.
This is the Aston Martin. Nuff said.
What do you get for opening your pocket book? Well let me tell you. TCA Media is a full service production hub. What is cool about our team is our ability to hire on per project so you aren’t paying for people that had little to do with your production. Like the Janitor. We also carry 75% of the necessary equipment on hand (This means in most cases there are often no rental fees passed on to you). Our scripts are created in house and we’ve a dedicated casting agent with access to the best talent in our region. We’re insured. We’re experienced. And every client we work with has either graced us with repeat business or referred us to other clients. Are we awesome? I can’t say for sure, but we try to be.
And finally. How long does this take?
There is no definitive answer to this. Some projects could be months, others just weeks. It will take as long as your project needs it to. It’s important that you seek us out EARLY in the process so we have time to properly develop and create the video. If that’s not your reality then you COULD fix it with money but we don’t encourage that.
Every video is like it’s own unique eco-system and must be cultivated as one. And, when all of the elements come together correctly the results are fabulous. We don’t want to short change any video we take on and we hope you don’t want to either so expect a comfortable 6-12 weeks from concept to completion for the best results.

Once we are done, you own it to use as you please based on our agreement. Let us explain. Web video isn’t held tot he same requirements as broadcast TV and as most of what we create is only intended for web you can plaster it all over the internet. However, if you have plans to move to the wily world of cable we need a special contract with different rates for both our team and the actors involved so be sure to let us know a head of time to avoid any hiccup in your marketing plans!
You might ask, why do our videos cost what they do? Well it depends on your perceptions of what it is we do. To create a successful video with professional talent, proper locations, and the right equipment isn’t cheap. Most of our team members, actors, and locations alone require day fees and this doesn’t include prop costs post production work, music licensing, and the list goes on. The good news is we can produce quality similar to that coveted Nissan commercial given the right elements and proper planning. It’s up to you to decide how important that achievement is to your product to determine what budget you can afford.
Finally, we want you involved as much as you would like to be. Sure, we can take the reigns and run with it but we encourage you to work with us.
